some discoveries

worked on the car all day yesterday and found some nasty stuff.

rear left strut seems to be blown, no longer attached to the top hat and just wobbling around. it made a hole on the strut tower, i figured i could later smash it back into its original shape with a hammer and have some welder weld it shut.

CORRECTION: only the strut mount aka top hat has been damaged, its completely broken

i went on and removed the entire front end of the car and found some frame damage underneath the radiator, but its nothing really that serious. i bet i can easily pull it out.






the only good thing i discovered was the rear brakes setup, all piston operated =)
no rear brake swap for me!

the project begins

i bought this car on the 10th of march 2008.

$700 bucks got me this 1994 subaru impreza L, 1.8l AWD.
